Powerplant ECVB (Belgium)
Powerplant ECVB (“Elektrische Centralen voor Vlaanderen in Brabant”) started producing power in 1914 experiencing damage in WW1, nationalisation and luxuries for its workers. Towards its dismantling from 2012 onwards, the production of steam and water for heating the district was seen as outdated and more effective methods were implemented.
From 2012, site demolition started and continued over 5 years with rumors of historical preservation due to its vast history.
