About David

My story of photographically documenting abandoned and historical places has taken me across Europe in search of unknown, hidden or historically significant locations over the last 10 years.

This site shares some of the adventures over time. I hope you enjoy.

My Equipment

I typically shoot Nikon D800 with 11-16mm or 50mm f/1.2. Lighting is either natural or I use strobist techniques to make dynamic lighting. Outside of standard DSLR I use a DJI Mavic Pro drone for hard to reach places.

My style is to try and maximise the dynamic range of light and shadows in each shot, inspired by David Lynch type imagery.
